Please remember to vote in the Annual School Election/Budget

Please remember to vote in the Annual School Election/Budget

on Tuesday April 21. Polls are open from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM

Dear Fellow Residents:

Did you know the Board of Education’s proposed budget delivers the lowest budget change in over 20 years, just 1.62%?

At the same time, the budget addresses increasing elementary enrollment, satisfies a state mandate for a new world language teacher, and maintains high quality educational programs at all grade levels, including 11 new high school level courses.

Did you know the Board of Education’s proposed budget control costs by generating more than $870k savings?

The savings are achieved via salary freezes for administrative and non-represented employees, healthcare savings, and zero increase in most operational expenses. In a time of increased costs and decreased funding, the Board of Education has taken cost cutting seriously.

Did you know the proposed budget holds per pupil spending well below the state average?

This is achieved even while the district receives significantly less in state and federal aid (7% of budget vs. 42% state average).

Do you know your polling place?
