Proposed School Budget
On March 8th, the BOE will consider the draft budget beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the MS library. It is expected to include a 3.61% tax increase (below the mandated cap and no second question) as well as new initiatives including a part-time Art teacher at HMHS. To allow for the new initiatives, this tentative budget includes cost reductions through a shared purchasing agent. Details about the budget proposal will be available at this meeting. In addition, the BOE will vote on the Haddonfield Educational Association contract.
In addition, our PTA meeting on Monday, March 12th, (7:30 p.m. HS library) and the Thursday, March 22nd, BOE meeting (7:30 p.m. MS library) are additional opportunities to discuss the tentative budget with BOE representatives.
We urge all parents and registered students (18 by April 17th ) to learn about the 07-08 school budget and vote on April 17th.
